Norris apologises for ‘careless' comments in Portugal

McLaren driver Lando Norris has apologised for making “careless” comments about his Formula 1 opponents at the Portuguese Grand Prix. Norris was involved in a collision with Lance Stroll during the race – for which the Racing Point driver was penalised – and dropped out of the top 10. Post-race Norris suggested that Stroll “doesn’t seem to learn” as he pointed to the Canadian’s FP2 clash with Max Verstappen at the same corner. Norris also commented on Lewis Hamilton’s record-breaking 92nd victory by saying that “he’s in a car which should win every race. He has to beat one or two other drivers and that's it.
