Birthday boy Norris went to 'drift school' on Friday
McLaren's Lando Norris says he celebrated his 21st birthday on Friday by going to "drift school" at Istanbul Park's slippery circuit. A massive lack of grip resulting from the Turkish track's resurfaced tarmac and cool temperatures threw a spanner into the works of F1's teams, with drivers slip sliding their way through both of Friday's practice sessions Lap times were nowhere near the teams' simulated benchmark, with over 2.5 seconds separating the top-ten in FP2, a session that Norris concluded P10. "It was a fun day," said the 21-year-old. "It was drift school today, that was my birthday present and it was my first day of drift school ever. It was nice....
