‘Incredibly motivated' Alonso planning New Year's Day factory visit

Renault’s Executive Director Marcin Budkowski says Fernando Alonso is “incredibly motivated” as he continues preparations for his return to Formula 1 and wants to be at the team's factory when 2022 wind tunnel work begins. Alonso stepped away from Formula 1 at the end of 2018, following an unsuccessful four-year stint at McLaren, but will return to a race seat for 2021 with Renault, which will be rebranded Alpine.
