The Japanese F1 stars Tsunoda hopes to emulate

Yuki Tsunoda is set to become the 21st F1 driver from Japan after joining the AlphaTauri team for 2021, following a successful Formula 2 campaign in which he finished third, classifying as the best rookie. Despite Japan’s rich love and passion for motorsport, its success in F1, some may argue, has been limited. Tsunoda, backed by Red Bull and Honda, has been nominated as its latest hopeful as he looks to add to the nation’s accomplishments in the championship.
