Mercedes expects clarity from Hamilton about his future soon

Mercedes waited a long time, but finally Lewis Hamilton was announced as one of their drivers for next season. The contract negotiations took a long time and therefore the news was only officially confirmed last month. Not ideal for both parties, as the focus has only recently turned to the upcoming season. They want to avoid that problem next year as well, because of the one-year contract for the Brit, the German team and the seven-time World Champion will have to renegotiate a contract for 2022 next season. It seems Mercedes have learned from last year's negotiations and now want to know what to expect from Hamilton much quicker, explained the Italian arm of Motorsport.com. Read more...
