Williams hires Volkswagen designer as new F1 tech boss

Williams has appointed long-term Volkswagen technical chief Francois-Xavier Demaison as its new Formula 1 Technical Director. Demaison joined Volkswagen Motorsport in 2011, becoming Technical Director in 2016, which included overall responsibility for its brands motorsport projects.
