Pérez convinced: 'I think this was the right thing to do'

Sergio Pérez worked hard during the Styrian Grand Prix to secure a podium finish but ultimately failed to do so. The Mexican driver couldn't get any further than fourth place. A few laps before the end of the race, Red Bull Racing decided to call Pérez in, hoping that he would be able to close the gap to Bottas at a fast pace. That didn't work out in the end, so fourth place was the best they could achieve. "I think this was the right thing to do," Pérez told Sky. "There were a lot of cars and we thought we could close the gap quickly, but unfortunately it didn't pay off."
