Vettel to face the stewards after blocking Alonso during qualifying
Article To news overview © Aston Martin Sebastian Vettel has been summoned before race stewards in Austria, after allegedly blocking Fernando Alonso during Q2. The Aston Martin driver was preparing to start a flying lap at the end of Q2, slowly negotiating his way through the final two corners as Alonso approached behind him on a flying lap. Vettel quickly tried to get out of the way and signalled apologetically to Alonso after the incident. A furious Alonso got on the radio to curse about Vettel, with the German driver radioing in to ask why he hadn't been told about the approaching Alpine driver.
