Article To news overview © Racing Point Rumours that Nico Hulkenberg may be set for a switch to IndyCar have emerged, if the German driver isn't able to find a way back into Formula 1 for 2022. Hulkenberg hasn't driven on a fulltime basis in Formula 1 since 2019, although stood in for three races at Racing Point in 2020 due to positive COVID tests for Lance Stroll and Sergio Perez. Staying on as reserve driver with the now Aston Martin team, Hulkenberg is linked with potential empty seats at Alfa Romeo and Williams and the German driver is aiming to find a fulltime racing seat again in 2022.
