Alonso: Hamilton came into F1 'like a tsunami'
Article To news overview © McLaren Fernando Alonso has revealed that the 2007 Formula 1 season was a crucial campaign in his career, and has described Lewis Hamilton's arrival to F1 as a 'tsunami'. Alonso joined McLaren in 2007, having just become a double World Champion with Renault. Meanwhile, Hamilton was a rookie but challenged Alonso immediately and stamped his authority by going around the outside of the Spaniard on the opening lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
