Skiing accident Schumacher eight years ago: much uncertainty and sympathy
Today it is eight years ago that Michael Schumacher was involved in a serious skiing accident. The respect for Schumacher and his achievements has never disappeared and the interest and sympathy is noticable today. On 29 December 2013, things went wrong for the then 44-year-old former racing driver. He hit his head on a stone during a fall and sustained severe brain damage as a result. What exactly happened that day and how he is doing now has been a mystery since that day. The Schumacher family wants to keep his recovery private and we respect that.
