Button: "He didn't put a foot wrong all weekend"

Charles Leclerc finally had the chance to win his home race at Monaco this season. According to former Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button, the Monegasque did nothing wrong, but a strategic error ultimately caused him to miss out on the win. Leclerc was in the lead in Monaco until the drivers had to change from rain tires to intermediates or slicks. While teammate Carlos Sainz went from rain tires to slicks in one go, Leclerc was put on the intermediates for only a few laps. Then the Monegasque also came to a brief halt behind his teammate in the pits. In the end, Leclerc had to make do with fourth position.
