Albon: Capito not just a Team Principal but a great friend
Alex Albon paid tribute to outgoing Williams team boss Jost Capito, claiming the German was not only his Team Principal but also a great friend. Capito gave Albon the chance to get back onto the Formula 1 grid in 2022, after the Thai was let go by Red Bull at the end of the 2020 season, spending 2021 on the sidelines. But Capito was announced to be leaving the team along with technical director Francois-Xavier Demaison on Monday with no replacements announced yet. Alex Albon took to social media to pay tribute to Capito; he said: 'We only had one year working together but in that time you were not just a Team Principal but also a great friend.
