Adrian Newey admits he almost joined Ferrari amid Red Bull issues

Adrian Newey has revealed why he nearly joined Ferrari and what ultimately kept him at Red Bull, after having become 'pretty disillusioned' with the Austrians' situation in the opening years of the hybrid era. Whilst the energy drink-owned side dominated 2022 and claimed their first Constructors' Championship since 2013, the hybrid era as a whole hasn't been the kindest to the team. Red Bull struggled at the start of the hybrid era in 2014, with the team having been ridiculed by a poor powertrain from Renault.
