Ollie Bearman, Baku's other street king
Sergio Perez was crowned as Baku's street king last weekend, but we would be remiss if we didn't mention the feat achieved by another remarkable street fighter in Azerbaijan. FIA Formula 2 Championship racer Oliver Bearman did the double in Baku, an achievement in the feeder series rare enough to be emphasized, and even more so to be highly praised when accomplished by a 17-year-old. The Prema driver - a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy since 2021 – clinched his maiden F2 win on Saturday after a chaotic safety car restart wiped out the top three in the sprint event, and then doubled down on Sunday with a commanding victory from pole in the feature race.
