Max Verstappen breaks silence on Adrian Newey's massive claim

Max Verstappen has insisted that he's simply in Formula 1 to 'do the best I can' and to 'win as much' as possible, following a claim by Red Bull chief technical officer Adrian Newey. Following Verstappen's record-breaking 10th consecutive win at the Italian Grand Prix, Newey claimed that the reigning World Champion is 'one of the all-time greats', something the Dutchman seemingly isn't bothered about. The 25-year-old is more focused on doing the best he can rather than focusing on the records of others, which he's currently beating anyway. Breaking records was never his target, neither was joining the legends of the sport. Want to work in Formula 1? Browse the latest F1 job vacancies...
