McLaren explains reasons for its exit from Formula E

McLaren Racing announced today its exit from the Formula E series, explaining that the decision was taken following a strategic review of its racing portfolio that will see the Woking-based outfit depart from the fully-electric series after the current 2024/25 season. The decision marks the end of a three-year chapter for McLaren's Formula E outfit, which began when it took over the Mercedes EQ Formula E team at the start of the Gen3 era. The 2022/2023 FE season saw McLaren race with Jake Hughes and Rene Rast. who recorded the team's best result with a third-place finish at the Saudi Arabian E-Prix. The following season saw Rast depart from the team, with Sam Bird having joined Hughes....
