Verstappen defends 'extreme' Piastri as Hulkenberg breaks F1 podium curse
Lando Norris secured a home victory in a typically British mixed weather British Grand Prix after Oscar Piastri was handed an 'extreme' penalty whilst leading in the rain at Silverstone. Max Verstappen endured a race to forget after spinning, but jumped to the defence of the Australian after the grand prix. Elsewhere, Nico Hulkenberg on his 239th F1 start secured his first podium, becoming the centre of major chants at Silverstone.
