Alonso to test MP4-30 first but not expecting wins in 2015
McLaren has confirmed Fernando Alonso will be the first to drive the all new Honda powered MP4-30 at the first Formula 1 pre-season test in Jerez on 1 to 4 February.
Alonso is penned in to drive on the first and third days of the test, with team-mate Jenson Button in action on the second and fourth days.
The McLaren-Honda MP4-30 will be unveiled in the week leading up to the test, with an online launch on 20 January.
Meanwhile ahead of the new season Alonso, who made the switch from Ferrari where he spent five frustrating years that delivered no title to McLaren, is expecting a difficult 2015 season. Alonso acknowledged to a follower of his social media pages: 'It will be difficult...
