Barcelona Day 4: Grosjean and Lotus end test on a high

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean ended the final day of testing in Barcelona fastest in the Mercedes powered E23, while earlier in the day Fernando Alonso crashed the McLaren and was airlifted to hospital as a precautionary measure. Grosjean took command of the timing screens during the afternoon session on Pirelli's supersoft compound and dropped down to a 1:24.067 – the fastest time of all set over the four-day test in Spain. Meanwhile McLaren's woes continued as they called an early end to their own testing programme following Alonso's crash.
