Alonso taken to hospital after crash on day four

Fernando Alonso has been airlifted to hospital after crashing on the final morning of the second pre-season test at Barcelona.McLaren said in a statement that he was conscious and able to communicate with doctors.The Spaniard hit the wall on the inside of the track between Turns 3 and 4 shortly before the midday lunch break. Red flags were triggered as a result, with an ambulance also dispatched to the scene.
