Alonso disappointed to miss Australia with McLaren

Fernando Alonso says he is very disappointed not to be going racing in Melbourne this weekend and is busy training ahead of his expected return for the second round of the new Formula 1 season in Malaysia. Alonso was involved in a heavy shunt during the pre-season testing in Barcelona and was taken by air ambulance to hospital, spending a few days under medical observation. The Spaniard briefly lost consciousness in the cockpit of the MP4-30 after the crash at the Circuit de Catalunya and under the recommendations of doctors will sit out the season opener at Albert Park.
