Magnussen optimistic despite challenging winter period for McLaren
Kevin Magnussen is approaching the season-opening Australian Grand Prix full of optimism at McLaren, despite the challenging winter period experienced by the Woking-based outfit after switching engine suppliers and rekindling their partnership with Honda. Throughout the three pre-season tests at Jerez and Barcelona in Spain, the team experienced numerous teething issues with their new MP4-30 machine, ending the final test in particular with the least amount of mileage as both a Constructor and a manufacturer.
