Sauber boosted by 'surprise' Q3 appearance
– Sauber Team Principal Monisha Kaltenborn says it was surprising to see both of her squad's cars make it through to the final shootout session during qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix.Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson progressed to Q3 at the Shanghai circuit and will line up from ninth and 10th on the grid."This is a strong qualifying result, which came as a little bit of a surprise considering the lap times in the final practice session," she said."Looking at our strong long-runs yesterday, it was important to also be fast in qualifying on a single lap, in order to have good grid positions."We managed to achieve this, which is great.
