Verstappen blames Q3 slump on tyres

– Max Verstappen says he was unable to make an impression during the final qualifying phase in Monaco as his tyres "were not working".Verstappen finished sixth fastest in the preceding Q2 phase, when drivers were also running solely on Pirelli's Super Soft compound.But the Toro Rosso rookie was the slowest of the runners in Q3 with a 1:16.957, two positions behind team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr."To be honest, Q1 was quite good, but I was complaining to the team, saying we need to warm up the tyres better," Verstappen explained."Q2 was worse, although I managed quite a good lap I think, but in Q3 the tyres were not working, and when they're not working, what can...
