HSE to take no action against Manor/Marussia
The UK'S Health & Safety Executive have announced that they will be taking no further action against the Manor/Marussia team after an extensive investigation into the testing accident that critically injured Maria De Villota in July 2012. De Villota was conducting a straight line test for the then Marussia team at Duxford Airfield when she lost control of the car returning to the pits. After slowing to stop the car, she suddenly accelerated again and struck the back of a parked truck that had its tailgate lowered. The Spanish racer, daughter of F1 racer Emilio De Villota, suffered extensive head injuries and lost her right eye as a result of the accident. An immediate investigation by the...
