One Year Rewind – Ricciardo storms to maiden win in Montreal

Daniel Ricciardo moved through the field late in the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix to take his maiden Formula 1 win, after the two Mercedes drivers hit trouble. The Australian lined up sixth on the grid for the race, with Nico Rosberg on pole position at the wheel of his dominant W05. His team-mate Lewis Hamilton made it a front row lock-out for Mercedes, with Sebastian Vettel, Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa next up. Fernando Alonso, Jean-Eric Vergne, Jenson Button and Kimi Raikkonen completed the top 10. Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen just missed out on Q3, while Pastor Maldonado joined the Marussia and Caterham drivers in the Q1 drop-zone. Esteban Gutierrez started from the pit lane...
