Ricciardo worried Red Bull not as competitive as expected
Daniel Ricciardo has lamented that Red Bull isn't 'as competitive as he would like' following the first day of track running for the Canadian Grand Prix after going the wrong way on set-up. The Australian was only 14th fastest in the dry FP1 session after new updates on the car proved less effective than hoped, before creeping up to 10th position during the weather-interrupted second session. Though last year's Canadian Grand Prix was optimistic of his chances after FP2, he admits the stuttered start to the day has put Red Bull on the back foot. “We tried a few new things with the car and it didn't get up to speed.
