Hamilton on top in final practice

Lewis Hamilton overcame a difficult Friday by taking the top spot in the final practice session before qualifying as Nico Rosberg once again suffered with gearbox problems. Both Mercedes and Red Bull were happy to keep their drivers in the pits and allow their rivals to lay down fresh rubber – Sebastian Vettel and Valteri Bottas taking advantage to set the early pace. With just half of the session remaining, the Mercedes duo entered the fray and battle was joined at the top. The pair traded blows, Hamilton setting an initial target, Rosberg going six tenths quicker and then Hamilton finding another four tenths on Rosberg's time.
