Qualy: Third Silverstone pole Hamilton
It was the perfect result for Lewis Hamilton and the British fans as the World Champion edged his team-mate to the coveted grid slot at Silverstone. With the track temperature up to 41'C and the wind having died down a tad, Q3 for the British Grand Prix resulted in a head-to-head fight between the Mercedes drivers for pole position. Home favourite and defending British GP Champ Hamilton seized the early advantage with a 1:32.248. That time was closely matched by Nico Rosberg, who was just 0.113s down as the duo pitted after their first run.
