Five drivers incur Hungaroring penalty points

The Stewards watching over the Hungarian Grand Prix were busy on Sunday afternoon, with five drivers receiving penalty points for on-track offences at the Hungaroring. Lotus F1 Team driver Pastor Maldonado, who called the stewards ‘very strict’ following the race, was handed two penalty points for his part in the collision with the Sahara Force India of Sergio Perez, and was lucky to escape further points for speeding in the pit lane and overtaking behind the safety car. His team-mate Romain Grosjean also received two penalty points for his unsafe release during one of his pit stops, after being released into the path of Williams Martini Racing driver Felipe Massa.
