Vettel surprised by pole position margin

Pirelli Media Sebastian Vettel admitted the margin of his pole position was a surprise as he ended his and Ferrari's drought by romping to top spot during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. Vettel secured pole position by over half a second from Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo, halting Lewis Hamilton's run of topping seven qualifying sessions and ending Mercedes' Saturday supremacy in the V6 turbo era. It also marked an end to Ferrari's absence from pole position, with the Italian outfit topping a qualifying session for the first time since mid-2012. Its most recent pole position in dry conditions came at the corresponding event in 2010, when Fernando Alonso claimed top spot....
