Singapore Grand Prix track invader charged in court

 XPB Images The man who caused a second Safety Cary period in the Singapore Grand Prix by taking a stroll on track was charged in court on Tuesday, following his arrest by local police on Sunday. Named Yogvitam Pravin Dhokia, the British national was accused of “acting so rashly as to endanger the personal safety of the drivers involved in the race, to wit, by crossing the race track while the race is ongoing.” The 27-year-old had sneaked through a gap in Marina Bay Circuit’s fencing and ended up on Esplanade Drive between Turn 13 and 14. If convicted, Dhokia faces up to six month in jail and/or a fine of 2,500 SGD (around 1,150GBP). The next hearing of the case will take...
