Alonso: That was my best lap at Suzuka
Fernando Alonso says his lap during the second part of Japanese Grand Prix qualifying was the best of his career around Suzuka. The Spaniard was disappointed that his quickest attempt was only good enough for 14th place and is anticipating a difficult race. 'That was probably the best lap of my career around Suzuka,' he admitted. 'I could have fitted 100 more sets of tyres to the car, and I probably still wouldn’t have bettered that Q2 lap-time.
