Australian Grand Prix confirms date change

The Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been moved to an earlier date of March 20, event organisers have confirmed. The Albert Park race was originally scheduled for April 3 but Formula One Management has instigated a change as it plans to accommodate a 21 race calendar for next year. The date change to March 17-20 alongside a revised 2016 F1 calendar will be ratified at the FIA World Motor Sport Council held in Paris today. 'The date for the 2016 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix has changed to 17-20 March,” read a statement on the Australian Grand Prix website.
