WMSC approves 2016 calendar amendment

The World Motor Sport Council met in Paris on Wednesday to approve changes to the 2016 Formula 1 calendar, as well as technical and sporting changes. Starting with the proposed amended 2016 calendar, the new season will begin two weeks earlier than originally proposed. The Australian Grand Prix has been moved from the 3rd April to the 20th March with the calendar appearing as follows: 20 March – Australian Grand Prix 3rd April – Bahrain Grand Prix 17th April – Chinese Grand Prix 1st May – Russian Grand Prix 15th May – Spanish Grand Prix 29th May – Monaco Grand Prix 12th June – Canadian Grand Prix 19th June – Azerbaijan Grand Prix 3rd July...
