Hamilton wins third F1 title with USGP victory
Hamilton wins third F1 title with USGP victory Lewis Hamilton has made history by becoming the first British Formula One driver to win back-to-back titles. The Mercedes racer claimed his third world drivers' championship at the US Grand Prix in Texas, finishing ahead of his two main rivals, team-mate Nico Rosberg and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel. Hamilton got the jump on Rosberg – who started the race on pole – at the first turn of an action-packed race. 'It's the greatest moment of my life,' a tearful Hamilton told his team on the radio on hearing the news. 'Thank you so much for everything you guys do. I am so grateful. To my family, I love you all. Thank you.'
