Button to miss Mexican GP qualifying
Jenson Button will not take part in qualifying for the Mexican Grand Prix following the engine problems he suffered in final practice. The Briton, who was already set to start from the back of the grid after at least 50 places in penalties for engine changes, was hit by ERS problems during FP3. He managed just four laps on his way to the slowest time of the session. Now McLaren has announced Button will not go out in qualifying as the problems were not solved in time. "The underlying signal problems on JB's engine have not been resolved," said McLaren on Twitter. "Therefore, he won't take part in quali. Our focus is now on the race."
