Williams drop Felipe Massa disqualification appeal

Williams have decided against appealing Felipe Massa's disqualification from the Brazilian Grand Prix last weekend, citing a desire to move on and concentrate on next year. Massa finished P8 in his home race last Sunday, but was disqualified after the race when it was found that his pre-race tyre temperatures saw one tyre 27 degrees above the maximum temperature permitted. While the team were initially adamant that they had done nothing wrong, as Rob Smedley explained afterwards, they have decided not to continue with the appeal that they had initially planned.
