Magnussen set for Mercedes DTM test
– Former McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen is set to test DTM machinery with Mercedes at Jerez next week.Magnussen raced in Formula 1 for McLaren during the 2014 season but was demoted to a reserve role in 2015 following Fernando Alonso's return to the team.McLaren will not be renewing Magnussen's contract for 2016 and, with his Formula 1 options dwindling, the Danish driver received a test for Porsche in the World Endurance Championship.Magnussen will now link-up with Mercedes' DTM outfit in southern Spain."It will be a great experience, and I appreciate the opportunity," Magnussen told Ekstra Bladet."I look forward to trying another race car for the first...
