Sauber technical director Mark Smith leaves team

Sauber says technical director Mark Smith has left the Formula One team for family reasons. According to a team statement, Smith has decided to go back to Britain and has already left the company. It gave no other details. The Formula One season begins this weekend in Melbourne with the Australian Grand Prix.
