Hockenheim: Did You Know?
Here are some facts you may not have known ahead of next weekend's German Grand Prix at Hockenheim... First Race Held: This was way back in August 1970! Race 8/13 in the Formula One calendar. The 50 lap battle was won by Lotus driver, Jochen Rindt - despite startiing from second position. Jacky Ickx of Ferrari and McLaren driver Denny Hulme completed the podium. Ickx recorded the fastest lap time of the day with 2.00.5, but the pole-sitter couldn't out-gun Rindt on the day. Track Length: 4.574km...
