Vettel: We know what we were doing

Ferrari's much-vaunted horsepower appeared to be AWOL, as it was in Russia a week ago, this time during the first day of free practice of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, but their title contending driver Sebastian Vettel is adamant his team are focussed on their own gameplan. While title rival Lewis Hamilton topped the timing sheets at the end of FP2, Vettel could only get to within eight-tenths of the Briton, but such was the gap that Mercedes were quick to suggest the Reds have more in store.
