Wolff does not want to alienate fans

Mercedes have become the front-runners in the F1 business with five successive titles, but team boss Toto Wolff is hoping not to alienate fans as they bid for more. Lewis Hamilton has won four World Championships from the last five only being beaten by teammate Nico Rosberg in 2016. Despite this Wolff wants to keep fans onside who could cheer for the underdogs. "I think it is in the nature of the fan that you cheer for the underdog," Wolff told Reuters. "Serial winners lose a little bit of appeal.
