De Ferran refusing to make McLaren predictions

McLaren F1 Team Sporting Director, Gil De Ferran has refused to be drawn into making predictions on the Woking-based team's position in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship pecking order. Former Indy 500 winner, De Ferran stated that 'It's difficult to gauge exactly where we are' as F1's tight midfield battle has seemingly tightened further over the winter months, with the final day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya highlighting this with five teams all within four-tenths of a second.
