Fernando Alonso 'available' to help Renault after completing F1 seat fit
Fernando Alonso took the opportunity to visit Renault’s factories at Enstone and Viry-Chatillon as he began preparations for his return to Formula 1 in 2021. Check out the Crash F1 YouTube channel - CLICK HERE
Renault confirmed Alonso's return to the sport in May, replacing the McLaren-bound Daniel Ricciardo. The Spaniard spent the majority of his early career with Renault, claiming his first victory with the team in 2003 and later claiming two drivers' titles in 2005 and 2006. His second spell with the team in 2008 and 2009 wasn’t as fruitful - marred by the ‘crash gate’ scandal - but Alonso is back for a third spell in 2021.
