Schumacher and Ilott to make FP1 debuts at Nurburgring

Mick Schumacher and Callum Ilott will make their first appearance in a Formula 1 grand prix weekend next month, as both will take part in the FP1 session at the Nurburgring. Both Schumacher and Ilott are part of the Ferrari Driver Academy and are currently contending for the Formula 2 championship. Schumacher will drive for Alfa Romeo for the session taking over duties from Antonio Giovinazzi, while Ilott while drive for Haas – the American squad has not confirmed who will set out the session. “I am overjoyed to get this chance in free practice,” Schumacher said. “The fact that my first participation in a Formula 1 weekend will take place in front of my home audience at the...
