Former McLaren tech chief to work on 2022 rules

The FIA has brought in former McLaren chief technical officer Tim Goss to focus on the new regulations coming from 2022. Initially the new sporting, financial and technical regulations were going to be introduced for 2021, but due to the financial implications of the pandemic, the new cars were pushed back to 2022, with only the budget cap coming in as planned for the upcoming season. The redesigned cars from 2022 it is hoped will promote following other cars are overtaking, while reducing the gaps between the teams throughout the grid.
