Verstappen: It could have been a really fun race
Max Verstappen won the 2022 French Grand Prix, but admitted a fight with Charles Leclerc would have made the race really fun had the latter not crashed out. Verstappen chased down Charles Leclerc during the opening stint of the race, but was unable to overtake the Monegasque, with Red Bull going for the undercut, calling the their driver in for a pitstop before Ferrari. But Leclerc crashes just after Verstappen pitted and the 2021 Formula 1 Champion then has a clear race to the flag, just managing his tyres to avoid another pitstop.
