Carlos Sainz reveals why he refused water bottle

Following on from the French Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz has incredibly revealed that he chose to race without a drinks bottle, in a bid to save weight. Having been awarded numerous grid penalties for exceeding the allowed number of engine components, the Ferrari driver started the race in 19th place. Sainz incredibly made his way up to third late in the race, before being strangely called into the pits by the Italian team. Ferrari opted for the 'safe option', after being concerned that the Spaniard's tyres wouldn't make it to the end of the race.
